A Different Perspective is a new Non Profit Organization that walks girls 10-18 through Spiritual Growth and Stewardship in different areas of their lives. Our goal is to help girls know their identity, live out there purpose, and thrive in their faith and in joy. Our foundation is Biblical and we strive to live our lives and run our organization based on the standards of the Holy Bible. Many times we are told what we should do and how we should live, but not often walked through it. Its easy to see a desire, but its harder to walk through the process. Even as adults some are still trying to figure it out. Yet, we expect kids whose minds are not completely developed to figure out the process with parts of the process missing. Sometimes a relationship gap between family members and the girls is also the cause. A Different Perspective is here to fill in the gaps Schools are missing, parent(s)/guardians are not able to fill in and help direct the next generation in the way they should go.

According to available data, approximately 20% of adolescents might experience a mental health issue in a given year, with many struggling with identity issues, and around 50% of mental health problems establishing themselves by age 14. The Bible says God knit us together in our mothers' wombs. He knows our thoughts. He created our land. He has planned our days, and nothing takes Him by surprise. In Proverbs 4: 23, He says guard your minds for life flows from it. In John 14:6 God says "I am the way, the truth, and the life. His truth doesn't depend on a set of circumstances and often we allow our emotions, friends and family to dictate that. Truth on earth has been twisted, some have changed it, others abandon it, many deny it, and now we often hear this is "MY" truth. When the correct answer does not add up, confusion arises in the brain. We live in a world full of confusion and confrontation. In Hosea 4:6, He says"My people perish for lack of knowledge". Many minds are perishing because they do not know the truth about who they are and our world continues to worsen with time.

 

A Different Perspective believes that through the following things we can make a change in the lives of young girls to help with Identity theft, Purpose, and Spiritual Growth.

• Sisterhood and Accountability 

• Living life outside their bubble (average school and home life) 

• Equipping girls with knowledge of how to actually dig in the Bible themselves

• Walking through how to apply the word of God to their daily lives

• Teaching girls how to address Unanswered questions

• Teaching to acknowledge and Stewardship different areas in their lives (Body, spirit, mind, finances, emotional, social, environmental)

• Facilitating an environment for joy in being present and connecting with others physically

• Planning for the future to have something to look forward to

• Financial Education

• Volunteer work
